CryoCord is accredited by AABB (Association for the Advancement of Blood & Biotherapies), the standard of development and implementation of quality systems; therefore, it is regarded as the gold standard for cord blood banking worldwide. Our laboratory has also been awarded the current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP) per PIC/S standards by the National Pharmaceutical Regulatory Agency. Licensed under the PHFS Act 1998 by the Ministry of Health, Malaysia, for umbilical cord stem cell banking, CryoCord is the household name for stem cell banking and cell therapy.
Ready for Release & Treatment
Cellular expansion is a crucial step that CryoCord undertakes before any cellular storage (MSCs and other cells for treatment). The process of expansion ensures there are enough available when needed. This is particularly important when considering the potential need for a large number of cells for certain medical applications. Colony-forming unit (CFU) assays are also conducted annually to verify the viability, proliferation, and differentiation capabilities of stored stem cells. CryoCord’s proven track record has seen the successful release of numerous stem cell units for various treatments.
Purpose-Built Building
While any space might technically suffice for stem cell storage, CryoCord’s priority is the protection of precious stored stem cells. To that end, CryoCord is running its laboratory and storage in the purpose-built facility located in Cyberjaya. This specialised setting prioritises safety and adheres to the rigorous cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practice) guidelines. CryoCord takes an extra step by implementing a dual-feed power supply, ensuring near-zero downtime in case of a power outage.
